Western Shield Acquisitions, LLC, a label converter in southern California, has announced that it has acquired Northern Cal Labels, Inc., a regional printer that has been serving the area for over 30 years. Headquartered in Santa Fe Springs, CA, USA, Northern Cal Label’s core offerings include prime labels with a particular focus on the automotive, industrial and food segments.
Nizar Elias, president & CEO of Western Shield Acquisitions, LLC, says, “our companies share similar business philosophies and a rich history of being customer-centric. We welcome Northern Cal Labels to the Western Shield family and look forward to continued growth together as we leverage our combined capabilities.”
“The equipment Northern Cal brings to our portfolio, combined with our existing presses, allows us to offer our customers the right solution for all their labeling needs. Northern Cal’s strong growth over the past few years has been driven by their responsiveness to the changing needs of the market. Together, Western Shield Label and Northern Cal Label are very well positioned to capitalize on strong market dynamics,” says Rod Couser VP of business operations for Western Shield.
With the addition of Northern Cal Label’s established customer base and assets, Western Shield further increases its foothold in the Southern California market and now has opportunities to increase share in the automotive market and reinforce its already strong position in the food market. “By joining forces with Western Shield, we will be able to offer our customers an expanded line of products, printing capabilities and additional capacity. I’m truly excited to be working with Western Shield and I know that our customers will be the biggest beneficiaries of our partnership,” says Ron Broussard, president and founder of Northern Cal Labels.
“As far as Western Shield is concerned, one of the most important aspects of this partnership was bringing Ron and his team’s experience and 30 years of relationships to the Western Shield team. We look forward to working with them for many years to come,” concludes Elias. Effective immediately, the company will do business under the Western Shield name in its 27,000-square foot facility in the industrial center of Rancho Dominguez, CA.
