The Gallus Group’s new production facility for Screeny screen printing plates was officially opened June 7 in a ceremony attended by representatives from politics and business. The plant is in Herisau, Switzerland, near the company’s headquarters in St. Gallen.
Approximately 12 million Swiss francs have been invested in the new plant and process engineering for electrolytic coating. Twenty new specialist jobs have been created at the Herisau facility.
In a speech at the grand opening, Gallus Chairman Peter J. Hauser stressed that the new production facilities in Herisau reflects the Group’s commitment to eastern Switzerland as a business location. He added that the production site provides Gallus with trained personnel, an ideal infrastructure and important synergies with Huber + Suhner, the company that owns the land where the production facilities have been built.
