Jindal Films Europe is further expanding its metalizing capabilities at its site in Brindisi, Italy. The new metallizer will add a further 10,000 tons of metalization capacity with start-up expected in the second half of 2017.
This new capacity comes after the successful installation and start-up of another new metalizer in the first half of 2016, which is currently running at full capacity.
“Supply reliability is key for our customers, and this investment reinforces our commitment to providing them with a long-term strategy,” says Alessandro Fontanarosa, Brindisi operations director, Jindal Films Europe. “Aligning with the new 10.5m extrusion line currently being installed, this additional capability will provide a superior service and quality combined with the highest level of manufacturing efficiency."
“These additional assets further strengthen our technology capability in delivering large volumes of high-quality MET films, while expanding the flexibility to produce a wide range of innovative products,” adds Vito Signore, venture manager, Jindal Films Europe.
