Bobst will showcase its latest technological developments at Labelexpo Southeast Asia, taking place May 10-12, 2018 at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand.
Following the huge crowd turnout recorded at the Labelexpo Asia exhibition in China in December 2017 and given the detail of the exhibits, displays and activities planned for the upcoming event, the Bobst stand is designed to be one of the largest at the show. “The Southeast Asian market has been keeping us very busy of late. The label and packaging industry is booming and the interest in our range of solutions is high and continues to grow,” comments Matteo Cardinotti, managing director of Bobst Firenze and head of Bobst narrow and mid-web multi-process product line. “The event is a great opportunity for showing our equipment live to a wide number of converters in the SEA region, and we are gearing up to provide them with a memorable experience when they visit our stand”.
The Bobst M1 line, a press dedicated to label production, will be the highlight of the show, with seven daily printing and inline converting demonstrations (five on May 12 alone). “We launched the new M1 Line, configured with mechanical line shaft and laser pre-register and automatic register at Labelexpo Europe just over six months ago,” explains Cardinotti. “And I am pleased to say that because we never stop upgrading the performance of our equipment, the 8-color M1 UV flexo press on show will offer even more, further extending the range of filmic applications that can be run on the line."
Alongside solutions dedicated to label printing, most Bobst machines in the inline UV flexo range are suitable to be configured for applications serving the needs of labels, flexible packaging and folding carton packaging manufacturers. This flexibility opens up for converters a variety of untapped opportunities of product diversification to enter new markets. The latest developments include the M5X line, also presented last year, whose optimized fixed configuration combines the flexibility and quality of labels and packaging production with the attractiveness of the level of investment and the short delivery time.
Other Bobst solutions will include CI flexo and gravure printing presses and laminators, which are especially effective for mid- to wide-web short run production, as well as the range of silicone, adhesive and pre/post coating lines and vacuum metalizing solutions suitable for a great variety of applications in the label and flexible packaging manufacturing industry.
Bobst will also present samples highlighting excellence in process technology, as well as displays illustrating the Bobst products and services portfolio. Information on the benchmark service offering will demonstrate to visitors the extent of the support which Bobst customers can rely on.
