Global anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation of America has unveiled the slogan “Explore Your Future” at Labelexpo Americas. The company is presenting and discussing some of its latest technology and products that are changing how companies approach all aspects of flexographic printing.
Harper is exhibiting several of its products this year and discussing how available programs, services, and anilox technology can enhance print repeatability and improve profitability. One of the systems on display is Harper’s award-winning patented QD ink proofing and flat-bed printing system, which uses flexographic and gravure processes. This system has become the color-matching proofer of choice by many leading ink manufacturers and is able to be configured at four different speed units. The maximum travel speed is 150 fpm (45 m/m), and travel distance can be adjusted anywhere from 12" to 33" in one-inch increments. It is also available in either a 2.75" or 5" proofer width.
Understanding how to properly maintain pressroom equipment is essential, and Harper has attendees covered. Representatives are on hand to address questions regarding not only the pressroom, but also cleaning supplies for effective care and maintenance of their anilox inventory. The company is ready to answer any questions on its newest addition, the Harper Performance Wash, which is a fast-acting, low foam, highly alkaline-based anilox roll cleaner.
The Performance Wash is effective at removing water-based, UV, and solvent inks and can penetrate through multiple layers of ink. In addition, it is ready to use at room temperature or can be heated up to 100°F. This versatile cleaning solution can be used in automatic roll cleaning machines with rinse cycles or ultrasonic tanks. It is a concentrated solution, but it can be easily diluted with tap water to meet the needs of different cleaning methods, types of ink and roll conditions.
