Based in Bangalore, India, iTek Packz has chosen to install another Edale flexo press.
iTek, a converter of printed cartons, already has an Edale FL5 with an inline flat-bed diecutter, which has won numerous FTA and AFTA Awards for Excellence in Flexography and Innovation.
The company's latest investment is a new 9-color Edale FL3, 430mm wide, and suitable for the production of high-quality labels. The FL3 boasts an array of options, including Edale’s latest EZ Die, which is a quick change full rotary diecutting system that allows the user to change a tool in less than 60 seconds. Features of the EZ Die also include pre-registration of the die to print register mark in the web direction, a motorized cross register with pre-setting based on a job sheet and also automatic waste pick up of the matrix without operator input following a die change.
The FL3 was sold through Edale partner Printer Supplies, who has successfully represented Edale for 10 years.
Amitabh Luthra, managing director of Printer Supplies, comments, “The best part of working with an experienced printing company such as iTek Packz is that they have full knowledge of what they need and shall not settle for anything second best. The FL3 gives them everything they need, and its modular construction allows for upgrades in the future. Edale continues to be the right partner for iTek with the best in solutions for the narrow web flexo printing and converting industry.
"Our design priority has been to create an affordable system that is exceptionally quick to set up, generating absolutely minimum waste. Features such as pre-registration and Edale’s ‘UniPrint’ printhead geometry means that the highest quality print is achieved and jobs can be set up in one web length of material."
iTek Packz team adds, “Edale’s technology and automation is the highest in the industry and since we have already had proven results from the FL5 by winning various FTA and AFTA Awards, the FL3 was the obvious choice. The FL3 also allows us to diversify into new growth markets, ensuring the machine is completely futureproof. Working with Edale and Printer Supplies has been a pleasure.”
