Flexo Label Advantage Group, aka FLAG, recently held its 6th Annual Members Meeting in Bedford, NH, USA. FLAG, a buying group for the label industry, was founded in January 2010 by John McKay, a printing industry veteran who spent 25 years with the Pitman Company in sales, management and as strategic development manager in the National Account Division. Seeing an opportunity in the North America label market for a buying group – and knowing that buying groups in other printing industry segments were very successful for members and vendors – McKay started FLAG.
The 2016 Annual Member Meeting brought a focused and exciting two days to FLAG Members and Vendor Partners. McKay, who serves as FLAG president, said, “FLAG’s core commitment, since founded in 2010, has been to create a Win/Win/Win for it’s Members, Vendor Partners, and FLAG. This year’s meeting really enforced that reality by including a tour of FLAG Member Amherst Label, educational Vendor Partner Presentations, the launch of our private online Member Community called Member Connections, and Peer to Peer round table discussions, giving FLAG Members the opportunity to build on their connections with value within the group.”
FLAG Member Presidents, Owners, and top management came together to discuss important industry related topics, including digital printing, sales, operations and more. FLAG’s Vendor Partners were also given the opportunity to engage with FLAG Member Companies throughout the two days, including an awards dinner held a LaBelle Winery in Amherst, NH. Here, McKay was pleased to announce that this years Vendor of the Year was awarded to FLAG Vendor Partner RotoMetrics, "who provides exceptional products and support to FLAG Membership," McKay said.
"FLAG continues to grow its community, offering independent label converters the ability to save, grow, plan, and learn as a FLAG Member, not only at the Annual Meeting, but also now with Member Connections, a private environment connecting Members all year long. Whether it is technical and business resources, label sales growth opportunities, and even catastrophic planning, Member Connections solidifies its commitment to helping its Members," commented a FLAG Member from Pennsylvania
Concluded McKay,“If you are an independent label converter these days, it sure is nice to have a trusted connection to others that are about the same size and are facing the same issues and challenges you are. With FLAG, you now have that opportunity and on top of that, you can earn significant incentives with our buying program. Why wouldn’t you want to learn more about that opportunity?”
