AVT (Advanced Vision Technology) has partnered with printing press manufacturer Nilpeter to introduce D2D Register, a new market solution for fully automatic make-ready and running register control. D2D Register has already been successfully installed at a prominent packaging printer in Denmark, according to AVT, as well as at other printers in Europe.
D2D Register supports the full range of Nilpeter flexo presses from FA-4* to FA-6*. Suitable for all print substrates, the system greatly improves efficiency and minimizes waste. It automatically loads the job data from the Nilpeter console to the AVT Helios and brings the press to perfect register in both X and Y axis without operator intervention, and maintains accuracy during the run. The system eliminates the need to manually move typical register sensors, saving changeover time and preventing costly positional errors.
In addition to high-resolution capabilities, D2D Register features built-in full web width, digital zoom and a 22" 16:9 ratio viewer. The system is easily upgradable to full 100% inspection as well as a host of other options, and is supported by AVT’s worldwide sales and service organization.
Another benefit of D2D Register lies in day-to-day operations, as AVT says, The system is exceedingly easy to use.The fully automatic set up allows all operators to produce the same exemplary results, providing consistent quality and known press performance 24/7 across all shifts and operator ability.”
Jakob Landberg, sales and marketing director for Nilpeter, states, “This new joint innovation between our two companies provides our customers with a highly sophisticated and fully integrated register control solution within our flexo press range. We have had very positive feedback from our initial installs and with the added benefit of the extensive AVT Helios production solutions, Nilpeter believes that this new product simplifies the press set up, increases register accuracy during the run and reduces waste.”
“D2D Register offers a fully upgraded press-to-rewinder workflow connectivity solution for Nilpeter’s prestigious global customer base,” adds Jaron Lotan, AVT’s CEO. “This development is a significant advantage for both AVT and our friends at Nilpeter, who can now offer our 100% automatic inspection systems directly at the point of sale.”
