Xeikon has announced two new additions to its USA team. Kent Wolford will serve as the tag and label sales manager, Southeast/Southwest USA, and Tom Gray is the new tag and label sales manager, West Coast.
Wolford’s extensive print industry background was one of the key reasons Xeikon chose him for the role. Wolford joined the market leader in digital color printing technology from Domino Amjet, where he was in senior business development for four years.
His many years’ experience with conventional narrow web flexo in senior sales and marketing roles, such as Webtron, plus a broad background with digital label and packaging solutions at HP and Domino, helped him develop a deep understanding and knowledge of the industry.
Wolford studied business at Louisiana State University and received his BS degree in business/marketing at Towson University.
“I joined Xeikon because the solutions have a broader appeal and capabilities, and the new ownership of the Flint Group provides enhanced resources to grow the business," says Wolford. "The Xeikon digital press line is a full rotary press, with no pre-treatment of substrates required, true 1200 x 1200 dpi, high lightfastness, FDA-compliant toners for food packaging, no VOCs, and the best in class front end. There are exciting times ahead.”
Gray has returned to Xeikon as tag and label sales manager, West Coast. He was previously regional sales manager before joining Domino Amjet as digital print accounts manager in 2014. Prior to that, he spent 21 years contracted with Aquaflex, lastly as global sales manager and international sales manager.
Gray studied mechanical engineering at Bulawayo Polytechnic, specializing In printing and packaging.
“In my new role I am looking forward to helping my current and new customers expand and grow their business by introducing new niche market opportunities that will help them provide and manufacture a wider range of product offerings," says Gray. "For example, 'you print the label, why not print the box as well?' or print IML or heat transfer labels, short run folding cartons, pouches, etc.”
"We are excited to bring such a wealth of industry knowledge to our NA team," says David Wilkins, Xeikon’s vice president of sales and marketing, US & Canada. "We look forward to both Kent and Tom using their expertise and knowledge, in combination with the capabilities of our market leading solutions, to help customers create highly effective and responsive print production environments.”
