Attendees of the Xeikon Café 2017 can expect a broad coverage of relevant business and technical information in the presented conference programs, in addition to 30 live digital production demonstrations of labels and packaging, especially in new emerging market segments, as over 40 industry suppliers join forces to show end-to-end solutions.
“A tremendous amount of effort has gone into preparing the third edition of the Xeikon Café Packaging Innovations 2017,” says Filip Weymans, VP of marketing for Xeikon. “The highly educational technical and business presentations of the latest innovations and trends, motivational speakers, and the extensive, diverse range of live label and packaging demonstrations are designed to deliver exceptional value to printers and converters, both to those experienced and those new to the world of digital production.”
The Business Conference will introduce a number of experienced speakers, including keynote speaker Rafi Albo, sharing valuable information about trends and technological advancements in the digital printing market. During the Xeikon Café, the Business Conference will run daily from 10:00-16:30 (except Friday, until 11:45) and will also end daily with an interactive talk show, where speakers will discuss topics of the day and answer questions from the audience. The Business Conference speakers, representing both printers as well as brands next to industry experts, were selected upon their extensive market and business knowledge, and will be covering a diverse range of topics including packaging design, mixing conventional and digital technologies, legal responsibilities, decisive factors in shifting to digital, and much more.
The Technical Conference runs daily during the Xeikon Café from 10:45-16:45 (except Friday, until 12:30), with three sessions running during each time slot simultaneously. Technical aspects in self-adhesive labeling, paper cups, leaflets, in-mold labeling, folding carton, heat transfer labeling, PDF standards, wraparound labels, flexible packaging, and wet-glue labeling will be covered, including a session on food safety and one on the latest GWG PDF standards.
The full program itinerary, with a complete list of speakers and topics of both the Business and Technical Conference, is available here.
Live production of end-to-end digital applications in labels and packaging with the joined forces over 40 industry suppliers of software, print media, consumables, digital printing and finishing solutions will provide Xeikon Café visitors an in-depth encounter of the market and capabilities, from concept to the final product. Print quality, embellishments, challenging substrates, anti-counterfeiting, food safety, and diversity and localization of products are just a few key aspects that will be highlighted in the applications. A comprehensive list of the live applications and supporting Xeikon Café partners throughout each workflow chain is available here.
“Raising awareness of new potentials digital printing can offer is the main focus of the Xeikon Café. It is the place to hear about the latest trends in labels and packaging, and discover what the future holds. The only question that remains is if you are ready to go digital?,” concludes Weymans.
