The use of plastics in packaging is now a hotly debated topic, and a package's label can have a major impact on its recyclability. UPM Raflatac will address how it is labeling a smarter future with sustainable film labeling solutions at the Latin American Summit on Innovation in Plastic Packaging from April 18-19 in Mexico City.
With more and more global brands setting ambitious sustainable packaging goals, UPM Raflatac strives to work with them by offering thinner and lighter, recyclable and bio-based products. To make the circular economy a reality in the whole packaging value chain, UPM Raflatac has joined Ellen MacArthur's Circular Economy 100 program.
On Wednesday, April 18 from 12:10-12:40, Fernando Giron, UPM Raflatac's global marketing manager for films, will speak during the conference's academic program, addressing the crowd on the "war on plastics" and discussing how the industry needs to deliver new solutions that radically reshape how we think and deal with plastics.
"UPM Raflatac is the world's most sustainable labeling company," Giron says. "As part of UPM - The Biofore Company - sustainability is in our DNA, and we can all work together toward the ultimate circular solution in packaging. I look forward to speaking with brand owners and packaging experts at the Latin American Summit on Innovation in Plastic Packaging to find ways in which we can collaborate across the value chain."
