FLEXcon has announced that Aziz Gdihi has joined the company as the new vice president of supply chain, FLEXcon North America. Gdihi will bring a wealth of global knowledge and experience to his new role, according to FLEXcon North America president, Lavon Winkler.
“Aziz comes to us with 20+ years of experience in managing global supply chains, which includes strategic planning and analysis, procurement, process improvement, forecasting, budgeting and logistics,” Winkler says. “He is also widely recognized for inclusive leadership and a collaborative team-oriented style, which are a highly valued traits at FLEXcon.”
Gdihi most recently served as the global director of supply chain at Bemis Associates in Shirley, MA, where he led a team of 75 supply chain professionals. Previously, Gdihi worked for Corning, for which he led supply chain management for many of their divisions around the globe. He has a proven track record that includes improved demand forecast accuracy, reduction in back orders and improvements in order fill rates, as well as reductions in the cost of finished goods.
“I look forward to collaborating with FLEXcon’s procurement team to align its structure and processes with the company’s strategic goals,” Gdihi says. “Our goals will be to consolidate FLEXcon’s global supply chain function and develop sophisticated strategies to ensure global competitiveness in materials procurement, thereby reducing raw material costs and improving lead times for our customers.”
